This article provides general guidelines for installing and maintaining the magnetic guidance track. Proper installation ensures reliable AGV operation and long service life.

Mounting
The magnetic guidance track is supplied as a thin, flexible tape that is applied directly to the floor surface. The installation area must be clean, dry, and free from dust or debris before mounting.
For curved paths, the tape can be shaped during installation. To facilitate bending, gently heat the tape using a heat gun. Apply moderate and uniform heat until the material becomes slightly more flexible. Avoid overheating. Once softened, form the tape into the desired curve and press it firmly onto the floor surface.

Curves should be smooth and gradual to ensure that AGVs can follow the track reliably. Avoid abrupt directional changes or tight radii.
Cleaning
To maintain proper operation, the magnetic guidance track must remain free from contaminants.
- Do not use solvent-based cleaners on the tape.
- Avoid exposure to oil-based substances, fuels, or chemical products.
- Clean surrounding floor areas using non-aggressive cleaning methods compatible with industrial flooring.
Contamination may reduce adhesion and interfere with the magnetic signal detected by the AGV
.
Securing
In environments with mixed traffic (personnel and mobile equipment), additional protection of the magnetic guidance track is recommended.
- The tape can be installed in a shallow groove in the floor to reduce the risk of damage and eliminate trip hazards.
- An optional protective over-tape may be applied to improve adhesion and protect against wear.
Ensure that any protective layer does not interfere with the magnetic signal required for AGV guidance.
