There are cases when the DFU loader does not recognize the device, but we can see it at the device manager as STM32 DFU as the images below.
In this case you need to
-> Right click at the STM32 DFU
-> Select update driver
-> Browse my computer for drivers
-> Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer
Then you will see like this
